Adaptations

Re-doing a literary work or musical into commercial projects is called adaptations in cinema. It was widely common during the silent era to witness the adaptations of the famous literary works made like Dracula, West Side Story etc into films. It is sometimes considered that adapted works in films is also a type of film genre.
