July 25, 2015 By admin Leave a Comment

Also known as cross-cutting it refers to the editing and alternating of two scenes, usually related, occurring simultaneously either in different locations or time periods. It is used often to create suspense and to build up the climax. It gained importance in ‘The Great Train Prominence’ in 1903 by D. W. Griffith.
